In late February, General Manager, Darrin Gordon, and Director of Operations, Matt Munzlinger, attended the American Public Power Association (APPA) Legislative Rally in Washington, D.C. APPA holds this rally each year to give utility executives, policy experts, and local elected officials the opportunity to unite and advocate for public power’s value, benefits, and needs to Congressional representatives. This year’s policy priorities included reliable and affordable infrastructure, support of increased federal efforts to address the growing threats of wildfires, support for hydropower and power marketing agencies, and support for safe and effective drone use by public power utilities.
