February 26th-28th, General Manager, Darrin Gordon, and Director of Operations, Matt Munzlinger, attended the American Public Power Association (APPA) Legislative Rally in Washington, D.C. Each year, APPA holds this rally to give utility executives, policy experts, and local elected officials the opportunity to unite and advocate for public power’s value, benefits, and needs to Congressional representatives. This year’s policy priorities included reliably managing the energy transition, promoting telecommunication access, utility parity in tax policy, maintaining security vigilance, and encouraging economic progress.
