PUBLIC INFORMATIONAL MEETING NOTICE
The City of Hannibal, the Hannibal Board of Public Works, and PSBA will hold a public informational meeting at the Hannibal City Hall, to discuss the upcoming construction on Mark Twain Avenue, scheduled to start in April of 2025.
Project Name: North Street Storm Sewer
Project Location: Missouri Highway 79/ Mark Twain Avenue from Rock Street to Reservoir Street
Meeting Location: Hannibal City Hall, Council Chambers, Upstairs 320 Broadway, Hannibal MO
Date: Tuesday March 4th, 2025
Time: 5:00 PM Central Standard Time
Purpose:
Starting in April the north lane of Mark Twain Avenue between Rock Street and Reservoir Streets will be under construction. The northernmost west bound lane will be removed to facilitate the replacement of an existing stone culvert installed in the 1890’s. The new modern culvert will transport storm water from the high ground to the Mississippi River. During this work there will be changes to the access for the property owners along this route. It is the contractor’s intent to maintain access to every business location during construction.
Please plan on attending this meeting to address any questions and concerns you may have with this project as this work will affect every property along Mark Twain Avenue. Questions or comments may also be directed to Ed Duran at EDD@PSBA and will be responded to.
