The HBPW Project Share & Care was originated in February 2011. The purpose of this program is to provide customers of the HBPW with utility assistance opportunities they might not otherwise have. Each billed customer has the option of "rounding up" their bill every month to the next whole dollar amount. The difference between the actual bill and the rounded up amount is donated to Douglas Community Services and goes into a fund that gives back to customers of the HBPW. Each month you could potentially donate anywhere from one penny up to niney-nine cents. All rules and qualifications of the chariety organization still apply. Customers are only eligible for assistance one time per year, that way the money reaches the most amount of customers possible. You may cancel your donation at anytime.
