August 21, 2018 – Hannibal, MO – The Hannibal Board of Public Works will be installing approximately 700 feet of 8” water main along Highway MM. Work will begin later this week and last approximately three weeks. HBPW water crew will be installing the new main along Highway MM, which will connect Hummingbird Lane and Shawnee Road.
Crews will be working on site along Highway MM on the south side of the roadway, and residents in this area should be prepared for slow traffic, as HBPW field crew and equipment will be present during construction. There should be no disruption of water service to customers during construction.
This addition will increase water circulation of the system along Highway MM and Hummingbird subdivision, allowing better flow for fire protection, and when maintenance issues occur the additional piping will help minimize disruption of service to those in the area.
